At the turn of the twentieth century, New Haven became a popular town for Italian families who settled in the United States during the country's diaspora. Neighborhoods such as Wooster Square became home to many displaced southern Italian families primed with palates that appreciated the thin-crusted Neapolitan style pizza of their homeland.

Our dough is simple (water, flour, salt, yeast- we do not add any fats, dairy or sugar). We never compromise in the quality of our ingredients and only use whole milk mozzarella and imported Pecorino Romano cheeses.

There are regional pizza styles across the US, but none is perhaps more storied than New Haven-style pizza. Slice Of New Haven serves classic New Haven pizza; a hotter, and crispier version of classic Neapolitan style pizza.
What makes Slice Of New Haven and its New Haven-style pizza superior, goes much deeper than the standard charred, thin-crust pizza. What all ‘apizza’ has in common, regardless of the fuel source, is intensely hot brick ovens.

We hand stretch our dough and bake it in our Italian made, DiFiore oven, producing a signature deeply charred crust.

Some may call it burned, but that's wrong.
